I must say, I thought long and hard before I wrote this article on Coronavirus in Africa.
First because I’m not a doctor, second because I don’t want to create further alarmism, third because I wanted to observe the developments and get a detailed idea of what this epidemic that is shaking the global economy is.
Let’s start at the beginning.
Africa is a continent with hundreds of problems. Living directly on this continent, the first thought when I heard the news of this virus was “here we are, just one more plague“.
While the world was preparing for the worst, an assumed worst and a mass hysteria, Africa was already fighting with much greater scourges than Covid-19.

At present the situation is secure, the very few cases recorded have proved to be false alarms in almost all cases. This shows that the African prevention machine is working.
